Making Music
Mrs. Knerr noticed some two year old children hitting on a table outdoors, keeping rhythmic, steady beats. She took that observation into the classroom and distributed percussion instruments so that they could make music. They love it!
Making Applesauce
Miss Capwell and her class read a story called Applesauce Season that explained very clearly the steps taken to make applesauce. Yesterday, the 3 year olds washed and cut some apples, and today they are making applesauce!
Cute Note
Though we encourage lower-case writing, this note is priceless! It represents one of those moments that we graciously accept the gift and wait for a neutral time to reinforce writing in lower-case. This note was very proudly handed to Mrs. Turrisi by a 6 year old a few days ago.
Tree Unit
Miss Vavra and Mrs. Davis are teaching the children about trees since the first day of Autumn is next week. They are learning tree parts and the difference between deciduous and coniferous trees. The class is using many tree activities and doing a drawing project. Here are the 5 year old children learning about trees.
